Weekend Special: Inside Roger Dubuis “Run To Monaco”

How can we get you an idea how it is to drive an exotic supercar through the winding roads of the south of France, with the new Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Pirelli around your wrist in the 2017 “Run to Monaco”? Simply, by putting together a lot of great images and video’s, so that you can get to experience the cars, the beautiful surroundings and see the new Excalibur Spider Pirelli in its natural habitat!

Starting in the Bordeaux, the roads took us through the famed wine country with appellations like Sauternes and Saint-Emilion. A joyous ride, but merely an appetizer for the drive into the Massif Central mountains, where seemingly never-ending winding roads, do end, but always in a spectacular view!

It is, however, hard to compete with the final leg of the day, when we winded down from the mountains into the medieval city of Carcassonne, with its imposing castle.

Although the powerful cars entice to go fast, there is no rush. This allows us to bypass the busy routes to the south of France and instead head into the Languedoc national park. Impressive sceneries open up, as the Pirelli tires of the equally impressive supercars are crossing their roads.

The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Pirelli tells that it is time for lunch, after which it is time to drive into the Provence. The air is perfumed with a faint lavender scent as we explore this beautiful part of France, with the wind going through our hair.

It is incredible how many impressive, imposing, but most of all diverse landscapes France has to offer at only hours driving apart. We leave the Provence for the Gorges Du Verdon, also known as France’s Grand Canyon, and from there on to the Cote D’Azur. There we arrived just in time for the Monaco Grand Prix, one of the highlights of the year in the Principality. There the question remains, who will win the specular race? Something we will enjoy watching while wearing the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Pirelli.
