Swiss luxury watchmaker Richard Mille delighted art and vintage-car connoisseurs with an afternoon of enchantment at The Bridge golf club in Bridgehampton, New York.

Held on Sept. 16, the event came on the heels of the brand’s “Art Et Elegance Richard Mille,” a weekend-long art and retro-automobile fete in Chantilly, France. An American counterpart of the French event, the gathering transpired on what was once one of America’s most arduous racing tracks, the Bridgehampton Race Circuit. Today, the golf course, under the care of owner Bob Rubin, celebrates its historic ties with racing memorabilia that made it a fitting site for the occasion.

Enjoying fine food and wine, more than 1,000 notable guests, including Donna Karan, Andy Thomas and Lyor Cohen among others, marveled at a selection of over 100 Post-War-era vehicles. Some of the highlights were a 1955 Ferrari 121 LM Spider by Scaglietti, the first of only 16 1957 Jaguar XKSS ever built, a 1957 Porsche Speedster as well as a 1968 Chevrolet Corvette NART Le Mans, which is one of mere 17 Corvettes to have raced at Le Mans.

In addition to the retro cars, British automaker McLaren presented its current luxury vehicles, whose elegance rivaled that of Richard Mille’s timepieces on display. Part of the event’s watch collection was the new limited-edition RM 50-03 Tourbillon McLaren F1 Ultralight.

“This event is my vision of high luxury,” said Mr. Richard Mille in a press statement. “I love its cool, relaxed American style, which is family-friendly without snobbery or ostentation. The owner is a marvel, for he created something very original.”
