On The Last Day Of Baselworld

By the time you read this Baselworld is coming to an end. One of the main things to take from the fair is that the watch industry is recovering. We have seen a lot of great watches, across all the brands, and many of them are offered at price points that make sense in today’s market. While we go more in-depth on the novelties in the upcoming weeks, here is a short preview of some of the watches we saw at Haute Time’s last day at Baselworld!

Glashuette Original Sixties Panorama Date

Glashütte Original Sixties Panorama Date
Glashütte Original is not only a manufacture that makes its own movements, but they also craft their own dials. The expertise that they have available for that in-house is astonishing and allows them to create the stunning green dégradé dials for the new Sixties Panorama Date. Although it is not a limited edition, Glashütte Original will only make the watch with this color dial in 2018.

Jaquet Droz Ceramic Skeleton

Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Skelet-One Ceramic
One of the watches Jaquet Droz celebrates its 280th anniversary with is the Grande Seconde Skelet. What makes this watch truly unique is that it marks a departure from previous models, yet it remains a typical Jaquet Droz thanks to its oversized seconds and smaller hour and minute dial which form together the signature number eight of the brand. Especially in black ceramic, it is a very contemporary watch.

RJ Arraw

RJ Arraw
RJ, formerly known as Romain Jerome, is revamping itself at a rapid pace and the first result from this is the Arraw, an attractive chronograph which is available in various verions. The Arraw takes the DNA of the various different collections RJ became known for and brings them together in a refreshing new design, which is smooth looking yet full of character.

Arnold & Son Globetrotter

Arnold & Son Globetrotter
At Baselworld, Arnold & Son, surprised us with the Globetrotter, an enticing world timer who’s dial is dominated by the northern hemisphere showing incredible detail. It is held in place in an even more dramatic way by an arched bridge that covers the entire dial. The result is one of the most charismatic world time watches on today’s market, and of course, is also this model powered by one of Arnold & Son’s manufacture movements.
