The Hublot Big Bang Unico Now With GMT Function

Hublot Big Bang Unico GMT
Easy-to-use and easy-to-read, the new Hublot Big Bang Unico GMT is conceived with frequent travellers in mind. Moving from one time zone to another at the simple push of a button, this user-friendly timepiece is as practical as it is aesthetic. Offering a choice of materials, the round 45 mm x 15.85 thick case comes in two versions: satin-finished and polished titanium, or carbon fibre, each with matching bezel and water resistant to 100 meters.

So what does it look like?
The bezel shows off its characteristic 6 H-shaped titanium screws, and features blue composite resin lateral inserts with four additional titanium screws. Two dials are proposed: skeleton blue and anthracite grey for the titanium version, or skeleton blue and matte black for the carbon version.
Designed for optimum legibility, four hands are positioned centrally on the dial – for the hour of the local time, minutes, seconds and the hour of home time – with the main hand indicating local time. Home time is indicated by the arrow-shaped hand using a 12-hour display that alternates between the dial and the bezel, an original design that gives a distinct identity to this timepiece. And because the arrow-shaped hand is correlated to a day/night disc, you can see at glance whether the time at home is am or pm.

How does it work?
Home time on the arrow-shaped hand is set using the crown. The second time zone – local time – is instantly updated by a simple press of a push-button: at 2 o’clock to move the time forward by one hour, and at 4 o’clock to move it back. The gears for the minutes and seconds are not driven, so no synchronisation is necessary with each time zone change, and a safety device ensures the two push-buttons cannot be activated at the same time. Easy!

The patented redesigned with integrated GMT function UNICO calibre HUB1251 beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph. Self-winding, it is totally developed and manufactured in-house by Hublot and has a power reserve of 72 hours.
Both versions come with a structured, ribbed black and blue natural rubber strap, with deployant buckles to match the case material. Both are equipped with the “One Click” interchangeable strap system.
