Hands On The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Extra-Thin The Hour Glass Limited Edition Timepiece
Now, is it just a coincidence that Audemars Piguet chose Singapore’s 50th Golden Jubilee year to create a limited edition of 50 timepieces dedicated to one of the top watch retailers in Singapore? The creation of the special Royal Oak Extra-Thin in 18-carat yellow gold is dedicated to The Hour Glass.
Audemars Piguet impresses with luxurious glamour in the new ‘Royal Oak Extra-Thin The Hour Glass, ’ with a full yellow gold case and bracelet. The dial is made with the Swiss watchmaker’s iconic “petite tapisserie” pattern in a dark green colour and shows the date.
Luminescent-coated Royal Oak hands tell the hours and minutes, pointing at the yellow gold applied hour-markers.
The Royal Oak Extra-Thin The Hour Glass with 40 hours of power reserve is a watch that won’t go unnoticed easily unless deliberately covered up, if you want to keep all the gold to yourself. The glitter of the noble metal in yellow catches the eye from even afar. With a dial of 39 mm, the Royal Oak Extra-Thin The Hour Glass is suitable for every elegant occasion, and looks dashing with a formal suit. You will be on show, but not a show-off.
Every watch in the series of fifty has a special oscillating weight with the inscription of ‘The Hour Glass‛ logo and engraved in words is ‘One of Fifty’, which is visible through the glare-proof transparent sapphire-crystal caseback, as is the in-house calibre 2121 with 247 parts.
Inside the luxurious setting of the MALMAISON by The Hour Glass watch boutique at Knightsbridge in Singapore, Haute Time Singapore conducted their first photo-shoot in the region. Dedicated to artisanship, the grand shop houses all things unique, from hand-made leather shoes to glamorous jewellery to carved walking sticks and much more, mostly distinct and some one-of-a-kind objets d’art. The eclectic range items includes a limited edition of the Ikepod hourglass, made especially for The Hour Glass only in 30-pieces, using gold-plated nanoballs.
