Girard-Perregaux Launch New 1966 Lady Timepiece
Luxury watchmakers Girard-Perregaux are embracing the feminine mystique with their new 1966 Lady timepiece. A perfect alchemy of technology and aesthetic, this timepiece embodies the classical traditions of watchmaking.
The Girard-Perregaux 1966 Lady begins with gold cladding, set with a border of diamonds extending to the lugs. A slender 30mm-diameter case, available in either rose gold or white gold, is enhanced by alternating satin and polished finishes, with a delicate guilloche decoration and a bezel set with 80 diamonds. The dial features an hour chapter of brilliant cut diamonds, roman numerals at 6 and 12 o’clock, as well as foliate hands.
At its heart is a caliber GP03200-0005, an oscillating mass in pink gold engraved with the Girard-Perregaux logo visible through the sapphire back. The movement turns to reveal a main plate and bridges meticulously drawn, beveled and decorated with Côtes de Genève. Working at 28,800 Vib/h-(4 Hz), this timepiece has a 42 hour power reserve.
A calfskin band in either black or white, with a pink gold pin buckle, completes the look of this timepiece.
The rose gold version of the 1966 Lady retails for $16,390, while the white gold version retails for $17,530. Photos courtesy Girard-Perregaux.
