The market for watches is tough, and although a golden standard like Rolex is somewhat insulated against this, they are not immune to it. Here shows the brand that they not only truly know their DNA, but also what the market wants. Without diluting what they stand for they bring new watches that are right on the mark of what the market needs.

Rolex Sky-Dweller
Sky-Dweller in Stainless Steel
Perhaps one of the best-looking watches of Baselworld 2017 is the Sky-Dweller in steel with a blue dial. It finally brings this innovative watch into a more affordable territory with a price-tag of $14,400,-. This gives you not only a second time zone complication but an annual calendar as well. Rolex also debuted a steel-gold, Rolesor, version which will sell for $17,150,-

Rolex Sea-Dweller
New Sea-Dweller
From the Sky-Dweller we go to the Sea-Dweller, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. A lot has changed with the new model, which does feature not only its name in red and a cyclops but also a brand new movement, caliber 3235. Now also in a 43mm case, it is a robust tool for professionals who dive deep for a living. Priced at $11,350

Rolex Daytona gold
Daytona’s in gold
Last year the steel Daytona with Cerachrom bezel was the highlight of Baselworld, and this year Rolex introduces that same bezel on the gold models. Available in 18-karat yellow, white or Everose gold, it is fitted with Rolex Oysterflex bracelet. This not only increases wearing comfort but is also a surprisingly good looking combination with the gold. Priced just north of $28.000,- except for the yellow gold model, which goes for slightly less.

Rolex Cellini Moonphase
Cellini Moon phase
We weren’t far off with our prediction before Baselworld that Rolex would introduce a moon phase again. Part of the Cellini collection, it is powered by caliber 3195 the moon phase only needs adjusting once every 122 years. Created with an eye for detail, the moon is crafted from a piece of meteorite and placed on a blue enameled disk. It can be yours for $26,750,-
